Western Sydney Airport Decision Making System

Western Sydney Airport is a new international airport currently being constructed in Western Sydney. As this is a unique chance for the airport to design its information technology systems from the ground up, they have requested a Decision Making System to help ensure the efficient operations of the airport, especially with regard to the queue lengths within the airports, such as you would see at check-in or immigration.

This is a novel solution that is able to ingest and process data about different queues within the airport, and then display that data to the end user in an effective and clean manner. This system has various functional components such as heatmap generation, report generation, notification generation, SMS sending (for notifications), and dynamic graph generation amongst others.

This project and the produced system aims to provide a unified interface for the operational staff of the airport (such as security, cleaners etc) to be able to monitor, and effectively manage the airport operations to prevent any unnecessary delays to the passengers and ensure the smooth operation of the airport, allowing it to grow, and reach its maximum capacity.
