Make Data Fly at WSI-2

The “Make Data Fly at WSI” project emerges as a strategic and innovative solution addressing the absence of an effective system for queue management at the airport. It optimises flow through advanced object detection, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. With a JavaScript-driven frontend built on React, the aplatform ensures a user interface that is both intuitive and responsive. At its core, the backend is powered by Python, employing the YOLO object detection model and computer vision for real-time queue monitoring.

Facilitating the interaction between the frontend and backend is a Flask API, which guarantees efficient data exchange. MariaDB, known for its high performance and scalability, is the chosen database, underpinning the system’s data storage strategy.

Aimed at revolutionising airport experiences, this project directly addresses the lack of sophisticated tools for managing queues, significantly cutting down wait times and elevating operational efficiency. The “Make Data Fly at WSI” initiative stands not only as a beacon of technological innovation but also as a blueprint for future deployments in diverse environments where managing crowd flow is essential.
